Referral
All consultations require a current referral. An up-to-date referral is required to receive a rebate from Medicare for the consultation fee. Consultation fees will be discussed with you prior to your appointment.
Most GP referrals are valid for 12 months and are required to be renewed if there are consultations beyond this period.
Specialist referrals, such as from a Paediatrician or another ENT surgeon, are valid for only 3 months due to Medicare requirements.
If this referral is for an urgent condition please discuss with staff and we will endeavor to see you promptly.
What to bring to the appointment
Referral (or confirmation that your doctor has sent one on your behalf) - we prefer if it is sent through prior to ensure it is triaged appropriately.
Test results such as previous hearing tests, or sleep studies
Relevant x-rays, CT or MRI (some imaging is available electronically in the rooms, but some require hard copies)
Medicare card
Private health insurance card
Patient registration form (or return via email prior to appointment) - if these have not been completed, please attend 10 minutes earlier to your appointment to fill out.
